Rules for the YorckShare Practice Rooms
("House Rules")
Dear Community,
How wonderful that we can share this space with one another. This is a place for teaching, learning, coaching, healing, therapy, and treatment. We want as many different people as possible to feel welcome and safe here. To ensure everyone feels comfortable, we have established the following house rules. Additional rules can be found in our Terms & Conditions, available on our website.
- Smoking: YorckShare is a smoke-free zone. Smoking is welcome outside.
- Animals: Dogs and other animals must remain outside, as there are people with allergies and anxieties who should still feel safe here. If you wish to offer animal-assisted therapy, please discuss this with us first.
- Booked rooms: Your booking times are binding. Please factor in any setup and breakdown time when making your booking. We understand that some sessions can be particularly intense near the end and difficult to interrupt – please try nonetheless and finish on time. Unfortunately, lingering in the rooms outside of booked times is not possible, nor is independently switching rooms without consulting us first.
- Tidiness: We’re sure it goes without saying – please leave the rooms neat and tidy. Feel free to briefly air out the room when you’re done.
- Clear passageways: As the rooms are also used by people in wheelchairs, please ensure that all corridors remain clear at all times.
- Doors: Please remove the door wedge from the front door after 4:00 PM and let it close. Especially if you notice that no one else is around, please close the windows, turn off the lights, and make sure the front door has locked securely behind you.
- Noise: Please be mindful to speak quietly in the hallway and kitchen, as conversations and treatments are taking place in the rooms.
- Pitching in: If something seems untidy or has been put away carelessly, please let us know or (if possible) quickly sort it out yourself. We all forget things sometimes, or are in a rush or distracted – that’s human. Let’s support one another with goodwill and kindness.
- Complaints / Feedback: Always welcome and important. Everyone does their best, and sometimes things still don’t work out perfectly.
- Conduct: Please maintain discretion where necessary, and of course treat one another with respect, friendliness, and understanding.
